 Government commission created to investigate boat tragedy in Zatoka

The Cabinet of Ministers created a government commission to investigate the Ivolha passenger boat crash near the village of Zatoka (Odesa region).

Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko will head the commission, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainiski novyny.

This is stated in the disposal of the Government No.1081 dated Oct. 18.

Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Yurii Vaskov was appointed Deputy Chairman of the commission.

In total, the Commission includes 14 civil servants, security chief of the Administration of Seaports of Ukraine Mykola Sevyrin, and a representative of the prosecution.

The commission is obliged to submit the results of the investigation of the accident by Nov. 2.

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade is entrusted to submit the draft act of the government to allocate funds from the reserve fund of the state budget to assist the victims and their families, as well as to eliminate the consequences of the tragedy.
