An apartment building in the village of Solonytsivka in the Kharkiv region caught fire on Oct. 15.

The young man climbed into an apartment on the fifth floor and saved a baby before the rescuers arrived, Viacheslav Mavrychev, ICTV journalist informed, Censor.NET reports.

"Oleh Tronov, 25 years. The guy who saved a baby during the fire in Solonytsivka," he wrote on Facebook.

The journalist published his photo and revealed the details of the incident.

"A balcony on the fifth floor was wrapped in smoke. Four people were trapped, a teenage girl and a baby among them. The baby boy is only a year and four months old. On the second minute of the video Oleh appeared. He was wearing a red jacket. The guy jumped from the roof to the balcony, grabbed the child and returned to the roof. The kid was safe. The rest of the residents of the apartment were evacuated a few minutes later by the rescuers," he explained.


According to him, the guy lives next door and could not leave his neighbors in trouble.

"He has been friends with the baby's father since childhood, so he could not leave him in trouble. He confesses that he was scared. But he is in good shape, which helped him," the journalist quoted the rescuer.
