 Investors might increase assistance for Ukraine by two times up to $15 billion, - Finance Minister Jaresko

Ukraine's Finance Minister Jaresko announced there were grounds for investors' increase of assistance to Ukraine by two times up to $15 billion.

She said this at a briefing on Friday, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"During Peru meetings I was asking our partners to increase the aid by two times from 7.5 billion USD to at least 15 billion USD. Today I can say that seven months after signing the agreement with the IMF we have grounds for the increase of the assistance," Jaresko announced.

According to the finance minister, the main grounds for this are fulfilling of the "Minsk agreement" and certain stabilization on the country's financial markets. She reminded that Ukraine has already received 9.7 billion USD from international investors since the beginning of 2015.

As reported earlier, the National Bank will be able to increase its gold and forex reserves up to $18 billion this year in case the fourth trance by the International Monetary Fund is received.
