He stresses that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were completely open for international observers. "At the same time, there are comments by the OSCE regarding activities across the demarcation line," Tkachuk noted.
"As of 7 a.m. of Oct. 16, no facts of the cease-fire violation have been recorded at the Luhansk and Artemivsk (Popasna district) directions. The third stage of weapons withdrawal continues today at the Luhansk direction as planned. It started yesterday and will last for another week. Under annexes to the Minsk agreements, Ukrainian military are withdrawing mortars to the distance over 15 km from the demarcation line. This stage is conducted under constant monitoring by officers, OSCE observers, and our SMM (Special Monitoring Missions)," Tkachuk said.
As reported, yesterday the OSCE announced that the mission observers were being impeded from moving across the Donbas.
