Market plummeted by one third compared to last year, - State Statistics Service of Ukraine

Over eight months of 2015, Ukraine's export made $25.8 bln, import - $24.1 bln. Compared to the same period last year, both the export and import have dropped by 33.9 percent (by $12.7 bln and $12.4 bln respectively).

As reported by Censor.NET citing State Statistics Service website, in particular, the import from EU states amounts to $9.842 bln or 40.8 percent of total volume and shows a decrease compared to January-August 2014 by 26.9 percent. The export has fallen by 32.5 percent - to $8.155 bln, making 32.9 percent of total volume.

Compared to the same period last year, this year's 8-month export to Russia has decreased by 57.5 percent - to $3.148 bln. The volume of import for the same period has dropped by 49.9 percent - to $4.875 bln. The trade surplus amounts to $619.8 mln (in January-August 2014 it was $937.3 mln).
