 "Our assessment is unchanged — MH17 was shot down from separatist-controlled territory," - White House

Washington welcomed the Dutch Safety Board's report on the investigation into the Malaysian Boeing crash as an "important milestone" in the effort to hold those guilty accountable.

This was announced by the U.S. National Security Council spokesman Ned Price, Censor.NET reports citing Washington Examiner.

"We maintain our support for the work being conducted by the countries of the Joint Investigation Team, and reiterate that the United States will fully support all efforts to bring to justice those responsible. Our assessment is unchanged - MH17 was shot down by a surface-to-air missile fired from separatist-controlled territory in eastern Ukraine," Price said.

As reported, the investigation report by the Dutch Safety Board, presented Tuesday, confirmed that the Boeing had been downed by a BUK-shelled missile, but has not specified who did it and where exactly from.

Censor.NET informed earlier that in the international expert team's report presented by the International Civil Aviation Organization included irrefutable evidence confirming Russian origin on the missile that had hit the Boeing.
