Head of the SBU Vasyl Hrytsak announced at a briefing on Oct. 10, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraina
'Viktor Medvedchuk mediated between 'LPR', 'DPR', and Ukrainian government on prisoners' liberation issues.
Answering the question about agents of influence, Medvedchuck in particular, and the SBU investigation of their activities, Hrytsak refused to disclose the details, but mentioned that the 'holly cow' Medvedchuck helps rescue Ukrainian prisoners anyway. The politician stands between Ukraine and pro-Russian terrorists, because the SBU officers can't get in touch with the militants.
At the same time Vasyl Hrytsak assured that the SBU is ready to cooperate with anyone in order to release even one prisoner.
"Regarding Medvedchuk's anti-Ukrainian activities, we will investigate his crimes taking no notice of his 'holy cow' status," Hrytsak said.
