As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by Ukraine's Chief Military Prosecutor Anatolii Matios on his Facebook page.
"An hour ago, Tornado Company fighter V. Diakon (nicknamed Tolstyi), who has five criminal records and is wanted by the Chief Military Prosecutor's Office for committing especially grave crimes, was neutralized while offering armed resistance (he emptied a Makarov pistol clip at police officers and attempted to throw a grenade) as police tried to detain him in the vicinity of Pryvillia town," Matios said.
The suspect died before the ambulance came. Law enforcers searched his hiding place and found weapons and valuables stolen from the residents of the Luhansk region. "Having searched his hiding place, law enforcers found a sniper rifle, five grenades, ammunition, valuables stolen from the residents of the Luhansk region and a car. According to the testimony of the victims in the case, Tolstyi, along with another company's fighter nicknamed Modzhakhed [Mujahideen - ed.], was infamous for the greatest cruelty and ruthlessness against illegally held civilians," the prosecutor wrote.
