This was announced by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin in the parliament, Censor.NET's correspondent reports.
"How can elections be held if streets of Donetsk and Luhansk are filled with tanks and people with guns. I especially stress on the agreement to allow OSCE to this part of Donbas. This will be the first step for the withdrawal of those forces. It is the Bureau on democracy and human rights that will give preliminary conclusions regarding secure situation for the elections to be held. Otherwise, no elections can be discussed," the Foreign Minister said.
Commenting on question by Batkivshchyna MP Serhii Soboliev that "postponement of terrorists' elections in the Donbas, instead of cancellation, to the date of Maidan killings of Feb. 21 is a direct violation by Putin and his accomplices of Paris agreements," Klimkin said:
"In Paris, we agreed to cancel the "elections." The game with postponement, not even commenting the data, is dirty tricks. As of today, our top priority is first to agree on conditions under which the elections will take place, and second, on electoral modality, how to take into account special aspects of such elections. In particular, regarding voting of temporarily displaced persons," Klimkin said.
