 Eight soldiers injured in tank explosion at shooting range in Novomoskovsk

Eight servicemen have been taken to Mechnikov Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital with various injuries received in tank explosion at a shooting range in Novomoskovsk Oct. 3. Their lives are out of threat at the moment.

This was announced on Monday by hospital's head physician Serhii Ryzhenko, Censor.NET reports citing Radio Svoboda.

According to him, of those soldiers who were brought on Saturday night, one had grave injuries and another one - injuries of moderate severity.

Ryzhenko also said that one of the soldiers got brain damage and barotrauma and is staying at the hospital at the moment, another soldier - with burns of an eye - has been sent to an ophthalmology center. The remaining six servicemen have been transferred to a military hospital.

According to Serhii Ryzhenko, there is no threat to their lives.

On Sunday, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported about three soldiers having suffered due to a detonation of tank's ammunition at the Novomoskovsk shooting range in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

According to the Ministry of Defense, a commission has been established, composed of representatives of the military prosecutor's office, which is investigating the incident.
