 Ukraine and 'LPR' provided OSCE SMM with a weapons withdrawal schedule

In accordance with the provisions of the Addendum to the “Package of measures for the implementation of the Minsk agreements”, the SMM received on Oct.1 from the Ukrainian Armed Forces the co-ordinates of some permanent weapons storage sites.

The SMM monitored the implementation of the "Package of measures for the implementation of the Minsk agreements".

In accordance with the provisions of the Addendum to the "Package of measures for the implementation of the Minsk agreements", the SMM received on Oct.1 from the Ukrainian Armed Forces the co-ordinates of some permanent weapons storage sites. The 'Lugansk People's Republic' ('LPR') provided the OSCE SMM with a weapons withdrawal schedule, the co-ordinates of some permanent storage sites, and the inventory list indicating the amount of tanks it intends to withdraw, including their types and serial numbers.

Ukrainian ATO forces started to withdraw weapons of caliber less than 100mm yesterday. The process has started with the compilation of lists of equipment that should be withdrawn, which will then be agreed with the OSCE. Then the actual process of arms withdrawal will start. According to representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladyslav Selezniov, the process of withdrawal will involve several stages and take place within the time limits in accordance with the Minsk agreements.
