 Poroshenko: "We will start withdrawal of light weapons in Donbas Saturday, Oct. 3"

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko says that the Ukrainian side begins withdrawing weapons of caliber under 100-mm from the contact line in the Donbas.

Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"The meeting resulted in several key decisions. The first decision - we begin withdrawing light weapons. We start it literally tomorrow. The procedure has been clearly discussed," Poroshenko said reporters after the meeting of the Normandy Four leaders (Ukraine, France, Germany and Russia) in Paris on Friday.

"We held talks on stages of withdrawal of light weapons, have determined that in accordance with the agreements, it will last 41 days. There will be intermediate inspections that will ensure unimpeded and comprehensive implementation of agreements," he said.

Poroshenko added that not only artillery of caliber under 100-mm but the tanks and mortars were meant as well.
