"The situation around the discussion of the modalities of preparation of local elections in certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions is crucial issue," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday telling about the upcoming meeting in Paris.
Kostiantyn Yelisieiev also noted that it was important to discuss a number of issues related to the access of international humanitarian organizations to the Donbas, "to certain occupied territories."
"We have the same goal as previously: first, to make sure that the Russian side and the Russian militants observe Minsk agreements in full and without any additional conditions; second, it is important for us to ensure complete and stable cease-fire in the Donbas," the presidential administration deputy head outlined the main goals of Ukraine.
He also noted that the issue of Russia's refusal to hold pseudo-elections in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk is critical for three of the four members of the Normandy Four - Ukraine, France and Germany.
"It is extremely important for us that the Russian side cancel fake elections in the Donbas scheduled for Oct. 18 and Nov 1. Ukraine, Germany and France have common position on this issue," Kostiantyn Yelisieiev said.
