The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation claimed its strikes in Syria impacted Islamic State militants’ command post and management headquarters.

The Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation informed Gazeta.ru, Censor.NET reports

It is noted that the warplanes of the Russian Airspace Forces had carried out pinpoint strikes on eight facilities of the ISIL terrorist group in Syria.

"About 20 combat flights have been carried out," Russia's Defense Ministry spokesperson Major-General Igor Konashenkov said.

"The ammunition, weapons, and fuel depots as well as military equipment bunching-up were impacted as a result of the air strikes. The command post of ISIL militants in the mountainous area have been completely destroyed," he added.
