Kharkiv prosecutors-grafters fired and arrested, - PGO

Sept. 29, 2015, Pechersk district court of Kyiv considered the motion on choosing a restraint measure in respect of two Kharkiv prosecutors arrested on Sept. 27 on suspicion of receiving undue profit totaling to $10,000.

The court affirmed the motion and remanded the detainees in custody with an alternative to post a bail, Censor.NET reports citing Prosecutor General's Office press service.

Both prosecutors have been dismissed from their posts for a gross violation of the law of Ukraine on prosecutor's office, the rules of prosecutorial ethics, as well as committing actions defaming the title of the prosecutor and provoking doubts of objectivity, impartiality and purity of prosecution authorities.

As reported, Sept. 27, the PGO General Inspectorate in collaboration with the Security Service of Ukraine detained Kharkiv region Volchansk district deputy prosecutor and Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office prosecutor while receiving a bribe.
