The head of state thanked the U.S. for supporting Ukraine, particularly for the powerful statement by President of the United States Barack Obama at the UN General Assembly.
The parties agreed that Russia must fully implement the Minsk agreements.
The U.S. Vice President emphasized that the issue of Ukraine's security was not in any way related to the situation in Syria. Joseph Biden praised the conclusion of the agreement in Minsk on Sept. 29 on the withdrawal of heavy weaponry under 100-mm.
The parties coordinated their positions on the eve of the meeting in the Normandy format that will take place on Oct. 2 in Paris.
