 Man kidnapped during shootout in Kyiv

The incident happened in the Darnytsia district of Kyiv on Anna Akhmatova street. Three criminals forced a man into a car around 00:30 a.m.

Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv.

The man tried to resist and asked for help. When two passers-by approached the car (as it turned out later, they were assistants of people's deputies), one of the offenders shot several times in their direction, subsequently fleeing the scene by the car.

At 00:41 a.m., police have received a report about the shooting, in which no one has suffered.

Criminal proceeding under Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Unlawful deprivation of liberty or kidnapping) has been opened. Five cartridges from rubber bullets have been found at the scene.

Interception plan has been launched. The law enforcement officers are searching for the intruders and trying to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
