 Poroshenko to meet Obama on UN General Assembly session sidelines

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko confirmed the meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York. However, he has no plans for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"I have just arrived. The procedure is being specified, but I am confident that we will be able to exchange views," Poroshenko told the reporters after arriving in New York for the 70th session of the UN General Assembly.

As for the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Ukrainian head of state said that he will meet him on Oct. 2 within the Normandy format negotiations.
