"In accordance with the Article 40 of the Constitution of Ukraine and the Article 231 of the Law of Ukraine "On citizens' petitions", I have considered the electronic petition "Removal of customs clearance and import tax for cars" created by citizen of Ukraine I. Matviienko Aug. 29, 2015 on the official website of the President of Ukraine, which was signed by more than 38,000 citizens. I am grateful to everyone who has used the new form of cooperation between the authorities and society," Poroshenko wrote.
According to him, the import duties, excise tax, value added tax, the additional import fee as well as the special duty on the import of a new vehicle to the customs territory of Ukraine are to be paid to the budget under the current legislation on the customs clearance of cars.
