Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg signed an agreement on Tuesday between Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers and NATO on the Alliance's office in Ukraine status.

This is reported by Censor.NET citing the Foreign Ministry's press service.

"This agreement formalizes the diplomatic status of the NATO office in Ukraine, which is created on the basis of Communications Office of NATO in Ukraine and Center for documentation and information of NATO in Ukraine," the message reads.

"For the first time in its history, NATO creates a unique office in Ukraine, which has a status of the Alliance's special partner," the Ministry stressed.

The agreement shall be ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
