 Poroshenko: Elections in Donbas will be discussed in Minsk on Sept. 22

The contact group is to meet tomorrow in Minsk, with elections in the Donbas being on the agenda.

As Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine TV channel, this was announced by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at a press conference.

As reported, "leader" of the self-proclaimed "Donetsk People's Republic" Aleksandr Zakharchenko said that elections in the "DPR" will be held on Oct. 18. In the "LPR" - Nov. 1.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko urged the EU and U.S. to expand sanctions against Russia in connection with the decision of the so-called "DPR" and "LPR" to hold fake elections which contradict the Minsk agreements.

As reported, the official Kyiv will not recognize any elections on the terrorist-occupied territory. Ukraine's elections, with the exception of Russian-occupied Crimea and some areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, will be held on Oct. 25.
