Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, MP Refat Chubarov, who participates in the civil blockade of the Crimea, called on the Ukrainian side to create food hubs on the administrative border with the peninsula. These should be retail markets, where the inhabitants of the Crimea will be able to buy products at affordable prices.

Chubarov told the journalists on Sept. 20, Censor.NET informs.

"We offer our businessmen - if you can call it an offer - not to feed the bandits using the so-called grey schemes," he said.

According to him, the trade turnover between Ukraine and Crimea has reached $475 million over the five months of this year.

"This is only the part that we see. The oligarchs are here, while Aksionov (the Kremlin-appointed "head" of the Crimea) and his thugs are there. They use the money that is paid for searches and pogroms in the homes of the Crimean Tatars," he noted.

He added that if food hubs will be created on the Ukrainian side of the administrative border, "the oligarchs will have to work transparently and money will remain in Ukraine."

Chubarov also urged the government to supports the organization of such hubs.

He added that his goal is de-occupation of the Crimea, restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine and liberation of all citizens of Ukraine who are forced to live on the occupied territories.
