Hienz arrived in Ukraine on Tuesday and has already managed to visit both sides of the conflict.

He had talk with the OSCE SMM representatives and so-called DPR ombudsman in the city of Donetsk. At the same time leaders of the terrorists refused to meet with Christoph Heinz at the last moment.

"According to the OSCE SMM, eight thousand people were killed in the Donbas. The majority of them are civilians who were killed by shelling conducted by both sides of the conflict. And this is the main thing I worry about," UN Special rapporteur said.

In addition, Heinz mentioned volunteer battalions, which were not included into the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and which, according to him, threatened those who did not adhere to a common point of view.
