 One soldier killed and another wounded in Luhansk region

Cease-fire was observed in the Luhansk and Artemivsk sectors from 8 a.m. on Sept. 18 till 7 a.m. on Sept. 19.

Censor.NET reports citing the official website of the ATO speaker in the Luhansk region Ruslan Tkachuk.

At the same time, a dead, as well as a wounded soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were delivered to the territorial medical association of Stanytsia Luhanska district at 11:15 p.m. yesterday. It was pre-established that the soldiers saw some unidentified persons near the checkpoint in the vicinity of Bolotene village (Stanytsia Luhanska district) and started to chase them yesterday at about 10:20 p.m.

"There were two explosions. According to one version, they might have tripped a mine. One ATO fighter got shrapnel wounds to his limbs, while the other died on the spot. The Armed Forces of Ukraine and the law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident," Tkachuk wrote.

Yesterday, an unidentified person called the police office in the Luhansk region and reported about a possible terrorist act at the railway station in Rubizhne town.

The suspect was promptly detained by the law enforces.

"The scene was inspected. However, no explosives were found. The station continued working despite the acts of hooliganism," the report reads.
