PM Yatseniuk: Putin personally does not want fulfillment of Minsk agreements

Pro-Russian militants' fake elections in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions is the Kremlin's decision, rather than that of Russia-controlled terrorists.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the Cabinet of Ministers press service, Arsenii Yatseniuk announced it at a meeting with the delegation of the EU Political and Security Committee on Wednesday.

"Holding illegal elections in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions is not a decision of Russia-controlled terrorists, but that of the Kremlin. It is a clear signal that Putin personally does not want fulfillment of the Minsk agreements," Yatseniuk said.

The prime minister reminded that "Russian terrorists announced the so-called elections on Oct. 18." "It's absolutely illegal and completely contradicts the Minsk process," he said.

Yatseniuk also noted that on the eve of the UN General Assembly, Russia's president is trying to show his good will to implement the Minsk agreements, "but Russia is deliberately delaying the process of the implementation."

"No doubt Putin is the mastermind behind all this. We should all demonstrate hard and concerted efforts against Russian aggression and Russia's unwillingness to fulfill the Minsk agreements," Yatseniuk stated when addressing representatives of the EU Political and Security Committee.
