Cabinet introduces single formula in customs clearance, Ukraine's PM says

Today, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduces a common approach and a single formula in customs clearance of goods.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk announced it during today's meeting at the Cabinet, Censor.NET reports citing governmental press service.

"It does not matter where customs clearance is performed - in Kyiv or in Lviv, in the Volyn region - there should be a common approach precluding any abuse during customs clearance of goods as well as further spread of corruption at customs," Yatseniuk.

He also recalled that the government had proposed to carry out an experiment at one of the customs offices.

"The Parliament and the president have supported carrying out an experiment in four areas. It provides for the customs revenue above the indicative figures to be divided as follows: 50 percent go to a local budget, 50 percent - to the state budget," the prime minister said.

"The better customs operate, the more a local budget gets, and the state budget as well," Yatseniuk stressed.
