Right Sector sees the blockade as a double blow: "both a direct attack on Moscow's interests and a blow to the current system established in Ukraine, the system of betrayal and surrender of Ukraine's interests."
The statement notes that "the blockade of Crimea will seek to achieve tactical gains, including requirements of the Majlis."
"At the same time, we are keenly aware that liberation of Crimea, as well as liberation of the occupied territories of the Donbas, is impossible without an armed struggle against the occupants. Such a struggle can be fully conducted only upon realization of the strategic goal - overthrowing the internal occupation regime and obtaining a full-fledged statehood," the statement reads.
As reported, after the annexation of Crimea by Russia in March 2014, the Crimean peninsula was announced a temporarily occupied territory. The administrative border was set up between Ukraine's mainland and the peninsula.
Crimean Tatar leaders have announced preparation for an action to block transport flows to Crimea from Ukraine's mainland at the administrative border. The event is scheduled for Sept. 20-21.
