 Savchenko to be tried by panel of three judges, - lawyer Feygin

The court in the city of Donetsk in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation have granted the petition of the Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko’s defense regarding the consideration of her case by a panel of three judges.

Nadiya Savchenko's lawyer Mark Feygin wrote on Twitter, Censor.NET reports.

"Savchenko to be tried by a panel of three judges Sept. 22 at 11 a.m.," he wrote.

Feygin also reported that the first four days of hearings of Savchenko's case have been appointed for Sept. 22, 29, 30 and Oct. 1, starting at 11 a.m."

It was previously reported that the court has extended Savchenko' remand on Tuesday until Jan. 16 at the request of the prosecutor's office having denied the defense's petition to change the current pretrial restriction to a milder one.
