 Parliament dismissed Zaichuk after fifth attempt, Voshchevskyi and Kvitashvili to be heard

The Verkhovna Rada supported resignation of Parliament's chief of staff Valentyn Zaichuk at the fifth attempt.

This decision was supported by 238 deputies, Censor.NET reports.

After that, Parliament's Speaker Volodymyr Hroisman offered to proceed with other staff issues, in particular, resignation of Health Minister Aleksandr Kvitashvili and Deputy Prime Minister Valeriy Voshchevskyi.

At the same time, the head of Samopomich faction said that the government officials' resignation should be put to vote only after they personally reason their decision to deputies. Hroisman suggested inviting Voshchevskyi and Kvitashvili to the session and hearing them at 12:30 p.m.

As previously reported, Valentyn Zaichuk decided to resign from his post as Parliament's chief of staff voluntarily. According to him, he has held the post for 13 years, three months and three days. Valentyn Zaichuk is 66 years old.
