"Following the instructions of Russia's GRU of the General Staff, the group planned, in particular, to carry out bombings at law enforcement and military facilities, volunteer and civic pro-Ukrainian NGOs," the report reads.
According to the authority, the group was set up by a former Russian special service officer who is staying on the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. His first task was to physically eliminate the leader of Odesa Euromaidan.

The killing was planned for September 2015. It had to be performed by members of one of the district chapters of Odesa regional branch of the Communist Party of Ukraine," the SBU stated.
As also reported, law enforcers detained all six perpetrators: "The SBU seized documentary evidence confirming the intention to physically eliminate the activist under direct supervision of the foreigner. The detainees testify about direct participation and distribution of roles in the prevented intent."
