A Ukrainian volunteer who was long held in the Donetsk remand prison has been released.

Adviser to the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Vasyl Budyk, who is in charge of liberation of Ukrainian soldiers and volunteers from terrorists' captivity, wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

He wrote: "We have good news: a volunteer who spent a long time in remand prison in Donetsk has been released as a result of continuous and hard negotiations held within Minsk Agreement by Viktor Medvedchuk and Iryna Herashchenko together with the relevant department of the Defense Ministry and the Security Service."
