Cease-fire observed in full in Lysychansk direction, - JCCC

The Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) observed absolute cease-fire in the Lysychansk direction, while preparing to launch a humanitarian logistics center in Novotoshkivske.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Interfax-Ukraine, this is stated by the JCCC press service.

On Sunday, during a working visit to the Luhansk region, head of the Ukrainian side to the JCCC, Major General Borys Kremenetskyi and a group of officers checked the JCCC control point "Lysychansk" and the observation post "Novotoshkivske."

While at the control point, the group inspected measures aimed at monitoring and control of complete cease-fire regime, checked the living conditions and performance of subordinate personnel, provided methodological assistance to military observers.

"At the end, Kremenetskyi noted that on Sept. 1, in the Lysychansk direction, cease-fire is fully observed, with the area having been one of the most peaceful sectors along the demarcation line for a long period," the statement reads.

Kremenetskyi also met with the head of the military and the civil administration of Novotoshkivske and Zhelobok villages in the Popasna district and discussed setting up a humanitarian logistics center in the coming months in Novotoshkivske located on Bakhmutska highway near the 29th checkpoint.

The center will be located in the main shopping area of the village, with some of its branches to be placed in a nearby two-story building of the House of Culture.

Further measures aimed at full observance of cease-fire regime were also discussed. According to Kremenetskyi, despite the actual "lull," ATO units are on alert for an immediate response to any armed provocations by militants.
