 Russia continues supplying gas to its mercenaries in Donbas, wants Ukraine to pay for it

Russian Gazprom company continues to supply gas to the parts of the Donbas that are occupied by pro-Russian terrorists, allegedly under the contract with Naftohaz Ukrainy.

This was announced by the Gazprom head Alexei Miller on the eve of bilateral talks in Vienna, Censor.NET reports citing Novyi region.

"Yes, the deliveries to the Donbas continue. We are supplying [gas -ed.] under contract with Naftohaz Ukrainy," Miller said.

Gazprom representative also said that they had supplied $217 million worth of gas to the Donbas occupied by pro-Russian terrorists, but they want Ukrainian company Naftohaz Ukrainy to pay for it.

At the same time, the Association of European operators of underground gas storage facilities estimated that Ukraine has accumulated 14.817 billion cubic meters of gas in underground storage as of Sept. 8. The dynamics of filling of UGSs shows that Ukraine is pumping gas at decent pace - over just one day from Sept. 7 to Sept. 8, warehouses were replenished by 0.27 billion cubic meters. Ukrainian UGSs are currently filled by 47.88 per cent. To get through a winter season, Ukraine has to accumulate at least 17 billion cubic meters of gas.
