Poroshenko: I am not going to negotiate with leaders of militants and terrorists

Ukraine will never agree to negotiate The settlement of the crisis in the Donbas with militants and terrorists, which some take efforts to impose on it.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Gordon, he said this in an interview broadcast on air of Pershyi Natsіonalnyi TV channel.

"From the beginning I came up with an absolutely unique format. After all, what they tried to squeeze was: negotiate with Zakharchenko and Plotnitsky, and we will watch the process and sometimes give you a piece of advice... I will not negotiate with leaders of militants and terrorists only because some home-brewed politicians urge me to do this," he stressed.

He added that this scenario - negotiations with militants - is what the Kremlin strives for to show there is a civil war in Ukraine, and Russia has nothing to do with it.

"No, this is Russia's aggression against free and independent state of Ukraine. Therefore, the format was determined from the very beginning: Russia, Ukraine and the OSCE as a mediator. This format is called trilateral contact group," Poroshenko resumed.
