As reported by Censor.NET, it is stated by Kyiv's Main Police Department.
"Obolon district police department was informed of a grenade-like object placed under a car parked next to a house. Law enforcement officers closed off the dangerous area and summoned counter-explosive specialists," the statement reads.
Upon their arrival, the specialists retrieved an object similar to the F-1 grenade without safety pin and striker lever. With the help of special equipment the found object was established to be a hand grenade. The explosive was defused and unattached from the body, its parts sent for examination.
Obolon district police department has opened a criminal proceeding under Part 1, Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The article provides for up to seven years in prison. Law enforcers are chasing the culprit.
