 Russia should expect further tightening of Western sanctions, - Russian Foreign Ministry

The Russian Foreign Ministry believes that Western sanctions against the Russian Federation will only be strengthened so it is worth exploring the ways to work in these conditions.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Wednesday, Sept. 9, Censor.NET reports citing RIA Novosti.

"We think that we should expect further tightening of sanctions in some sectors regardless of the situation in the Donbas," Ryabkov said.

According to him, the additional U.S. sanctions imposed against the Russian legal entities last week including Rosoboronexport is "the reflection of policies aimed at adding complexity to the work of the Russian defense industry and the entire state mechanism."

"Our colleagues from the U.S. and the EU will continue making efforts to caulk up all the cracks in the field of the international financial services. We understand this so we need to learn working in these conditions," he added.
