 State Enterprises supplied Armed Forces with 40 radars and 81 vehicles over past two weeks, - Defense Ministry

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has purchased 30 aircraft, 27 armored vehicles, and over 400 vehicles for the needs of the army in the current year.

This was reported by spokeswoman of the Ministry of Defense Viktoria Kushnir, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"30 aircraft, 27 armored vehicles, 425 vehicles, 40 pieces of weapons for armored vehicles, 40 ground-based radars, 132 pieces of engineering equipment, 187 pieces of survey and navigation support equipment, 525 military observation and aiming devices, as well as over 266,000 missiles and ammunition have been purchased for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2015," she said at a briefing on Tuesday.

Viktoria Kushnir noted that the state-owned defense enterprises had delivered 40 ground-based radars and 81 vehicles to the Armed Forces over the past two weeks fulfilling the state defense order for 2015.

In addition, according to the speaker of the Ministry of Defense, 29,855 pieces of weapons and military equipment have been restored and repaired for the army since the beginning of the ATO in April 2014. In particular, 1,767 pieces of missile and cannon artillery, 5,737 armored vehicles and equipment, 19,927 vehicles, and 1,782 pieces of equipment for arms and services have been reactivated.
