Ukraine is a test for Europe's core values in its immediate neighborhood, where the future belongs to the rule of law, not to the play of muscles supported by corruption, Tusk said at the EU ambassadors meeting in Brussels on Thursday, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.
According to him, recent dramatic events in Kyiv showed how complicated the Ukrainian process was.
Tusk said he would definitely want the European Union to be united in the matter of sanctions against Russia that had been implemented after Crimea annexation.
He also expressed his support for reforms in Ukraine and aid to the country in its fight against attempts to destabilize it.
