 Suspects in riots near Rada accused of creation of criminal organization, Interior Minister’s Adviser Shkiriak says

Creation of a criminal organization has been added to other charges against participants of the scuffle outside the Verkhovna Rada on Aug. 31.

Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Zorian Shkiriak said on air of Espresso.TV, Censor.NET reports.

"Yesterday, the Prosecutor General's Office determined the nature of the incident as a terrorist attack. The agency brought new charges under Part 3 of the Article 258 of the Criminal Code (terrorist attack) and the Article 255 (creation of a criminal organization)," Zorian Shkiriak said. According to him, such articles may deny the right to post bail.

The participants of the scuffle are accused of causing civil unrest (Part 2 of the Article 294 of the Criminal Code) and violence against a law enforcement officer (Part 3 of the Article 345 of the Criminal Code), subject to 8 to 15 years imprisonment.
