The statement reads: "Only one armed provocation was recorded along the entire demarcation line. The militants opened fire from small arms and grenade launchers at our strong point south of Avdiivka at about 4 p.m.
"The long-awaited truce has become a real gift to the school children, who have the first school day in the frontline area tomorrow. There are schools and kindergartens, which were strongly damaged by the attacks. However, the Ukrainian government, local government bodies, and ATO forces do their best for the children to be able to study at their native villages, towns, and cities.
"The Ukrainian military also expect a long-term peace. It is obvious for everyone that the war brings only grief to the Donbas. Therefore, the people who have gone through the war, who have seen death, destruction, and discord put peace and tranquility in our country before all else."
