New clash between protesters and law enforcement officers sparked at the Kyiv hotel near the building of the Verkhovna Rada.

"The scuffle sparked at Kyiv hotel," the statement reads.

The hotel that hosts the MPs is situated next to the building of the Verkhovna Rada.

The new clash between the law enforcers and demonstrators, who have already started to leave the square in front of the Verkhovna Rada, burst out at the corner of Hrushevskyi and Lypska Streets. UNIAN reporter informed that protesters were throwing stones at law enforcement officers. More than 100 policemen in riot gear were immediately sent to the scene.

Several dozen law enforcement officers and National Guard soldiers cordoned off the protesters and tried to force them off towards the Arsenalna square by Hrushevskyi Street.

The policemen apprehended seven protesters and laid them on the pavement. Other protesters started beating the police officers with sticks and trying to remove their helmets.

According to the journalists, who witnessed the scuffle in front of the Kyiv hotel, it was provoked by protesters. One of the policemen walked away from colleagues towards Kriposnyi alley, where he began to be ruffled by protesters, who had already left the square in front of the Verkhovna Rada building and walked toward the subway station. About 20 law enforcement officers ran up to rescue the policeman, after which the clash sparked.
