If Russia opposes our changes - we are on the right track, - Poroshenko

Russia and its president Vladimir Putin do not support amendments to Ukraine's Constitution in terms of decentralization of power.

This was stated by Ukraine's president Petro Poroshenko, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"Who is the first one to oppose amendments to Ukraine's Constitution? Putin. Russia. They want us to agree the decentralization with them. I will not let the Constitution be written from outside the country," Poroshenko said during a meeting with representatives of territorial communities in Kyiv on Saturday.

"If Russia is against our changes - we are on the right track," the president stated.

Poroshenko said that in the past week he met with President of France Francois Hollande, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and others.

"Yesterday I had a conversation with US Vice President Joe Biden. Do you know what unites all these conversations? All members of global pro-Ukrainian coalition declare two issues: firstly - they support Ukraine in fulfillment of the Minsk agreements and insist on all liabilities taken. Secondly - they strongly welcome Ukraine's constitutional reform in terms of decentralization. I stress it again - there is only one country opposing," Poroshenko said.
