 Pro-Russian militants violated cease-fire 74 times over past day, - ATO press center

At the end of day, Aug. 28, starting around 7 p.m. until midnight, illegal armed groups significantly reduced provocative fire at ATO forces positions. However, certain cases of violation of the Minsk agreements, involving weapons over 100-mm, were still recorded.

This is reported by Censor.NET referring to ATO press center. At 7:10 p.m., in the vicinity of Donetsk, the Ukrainian strong holds in Avdiivka were hit with tanks, 120-mm and 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers, and small arms from the Spartak village direction. In the Artemivsk direction, at around 7 p.m., occupants used 120-mm mortars to shell the Ukrainian army units near the village of Sanzharivka.

In the vicinity of Mariupol, at 9:20 p.m., up to 10 people as a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the enemy, supported by infantry fighting vehicles and small arms, tried to outflank Ukrainian troops positions in Bohdanivka. As a result of a combat, the enemy retreated. In general, over the past day, militants violated cease-fire 74 times. Of these, 18 cases were recorded from 7 p.m. until midnight. Aug. 29, from midnight to 6 a.m., terrorists violated cease-fire four times. Using small arms, mercenaries attacked the Ukrainian strong holds near Shchastia, Butivka mine and Opytne.
