The president has not specified any details though.

According to the Presidential Commissioner for peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbas Iryna Herashchenko, one of the liberated Ukrainian soldiers expressed desire to stay in the occupied Horlivka where his family lived.

"We can already talk about our achievements today. 12 hostages, including those who spent a year in militants' captivity, who survived Ilovaisk entrapment, have been released. One of those released expressed desire to stay with his family which lived in Horlivka. 11 other will be brought to the government-controlled territory of Ukraine in several minutes," Herashchenko wrote on Facebook.

It should be noted that the exchange of prisoners had to take place yesterday. However, the decision on exchange was first postponed for an hour due to a shootout at the site agreed by the parties.

Other information appeared on one of the terrorists' websites later. In particular, there was a statement reading: "The first stage of exchange of prisoners between the Ukrainian security agencies and the "DPR" terrorists has been completed, with 12 people having been handed over to Donetsk," one of the leaders of the militants claimed.
