 Terrorists attacked Marinka for six hours straight having wounded two Ukrainian soldiers - ATO HQ speaker Silkin

Two Ukrainian soldiers were injured as a result of a continuous terrorists’ shelling of the town of Marinka in the Donetsk region. The shelling lasted for six hours.

Speaker of the ATO headquarters of the sector B Yevhen Silkin announced, Censor.NET reports citing Channel 5.

According to him, the civil-military regional administration has not yet specified the information on possible civilian casualties. Besides Marinka, the village of Krasnohorivka has also come under the attack of the enemy tanks.

"The militants assaulted the villages of Opytne and Pisky in the vicinity of the Donetsk Airport after midnight. The terrorists also impacted the ATO forces' positions not far from Butovka mine. They used mortars of various calibers, heavy machine guns and weapons of IFVs.

"Marinka and Krasnohorivka were attacked from the direction of Staromykhailivka village at 9:30 p.m. The enemy employed 152-mm caliber Giatsynt guns during that hour long shelling. The militants used 82-mm and 120-mm mortars, anti-tank guided missiles, weapons of infantry fighting vehicles, anti-aircraft guns, and heavy machine guns to commit six hour long assault on the town of Marinka from the direction of Oleksandrivka village. Two soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces received injuries of varying severity as a result of heavy and long lasting shelling", - said Silkin.
