According to him, something strange started to happen at Odesa customs after decision to allot 50% of customs duties for a complete reconditioning of a strategic road Odesa - Reni. "Goods are redirected from Odesa customs to other regions in manual mode," he said. Also, according to Saakashvili, the customs office has been burdened with planned targets. As a result, no funds for the reconstruction come in. "I am not into conspiracy, but it all started right after the decision (on allocation of funds for road reconstruction)," the official said.

In response, the Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko said that expanded plans had been assigned to all regional customs and Odesa customs' certain moves would be discussed with the Head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov. In his turn, the Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk stressed that 110 million UAH had been allocated by government for Odessa - Reni road reconditioning and asked to adopt all the necessary project documents as soon as possible.
