250,000 tons of grain and dozens thousands tons of gasoline vanished from state reserve, Ukraine’s Economy Minister says

The inventory reconciliation of the property of the Ukrainian Agency for State Reserve revealed 250,000 tons of grain missing.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement of Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavicius on Twitter.

"We have conducted inventory reconciliation in the State Reserve - it's indeed the Augean stables, which we need to clean. There are also cases of oil leakage through a "hole", and shortage of grain, and "missing" pontoon bridges. Something went wrong: The inventory reconciliation revealed about 250,000 tons of grain "missing" in the State Reserve.

"They should be there according to the papers but they are actually missing. Thousands of tons of gasoline were mixed with kerosene at a tank farm through "negligence" in 2014. It was probably done, "accidentally" but not in order to hide the huge shortfall. The fuel "has flown away into the groundwater through a crack" at other tank farm. We are talking about dozens thousands tons of fuel which environmentalists have not allegedly noticed," the minister wrote.
