 Terrorists violated cease-fire 67 times over past day, most cases near Donetsk, - ATO press center

During the past day, the situation in the ATO area remained stable.

As reported by Censor.NET, this is stated by the ATO press center on its Facebook page.

According to HQ, illegal armed units have reduced fire and were active predominantly near Donetsk: "At about 8 p.m. militants used 82-mm and 120-mm mortars to shell the Ukrainian military positions in Pisky. From 9 to 10 p.m. mercenaries were firing 120-mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms at the ATO forces strong hold in Krasnohorivka. At around 10 p.m. the Ukrainian military positions in Troitske, Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka were hit with 122-mm artillery.

"Near Mariupol, at 9:35 p.m. and close to midnight our positions in Starohnativka were covered by 152-mm artillery. At 10:30 p.m. occupants shelled Bohdanivka from 120-mm mortars and 152-mm artillery.

"In the area of Artemivsk, at 9:35 p.m. militants fired 152-mm artillery from the Kalynove direction on our units positions in the villages of Ruzaivka and Druzhba.

"In the Luhansk direction, no fire was recorded from 11 a.m. to midnight," the report reads.

As reported, in general, over the past day, Aug. 20, terrorists violated cease-fire 67 times. Of these, 51 cases were recorded near Donetsk.

"After midnight and until 6 a.m. on Aug. 21, Russian-terrorist troops slightly stepped up armed provocations. Around midnight, mercenaries delivered 152-mm fire twice on our positions in the village of Prokhorivka. At around 4 a.m. the same weapons were used to shell Starohnativka, Lebedynske and Bohdanivka," the press center reported.
