"The talks at the expert level finished several minutes ago in Berlin. We have demonstrated common position with the EU on Ukraine's implementation of the Minsk Agreements and I was told that the negotiations were successful," Poroshenko said.
The head of state reminded that he is going to pay a working visit to Berlin Aug. 24 where the summit with the participation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande will be held on the initiative of the Ukrainian side. The issue of security will be the first in the agenda; secondly, the actions to build a strong international coalition in support of Ukraine aimed to stop the aggressor will be coordinated in Berlin. Merkel, Hollande and Poroshenko will discuss visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU.
"You know that the Ukrainian side has submitted a report on the implementation (of steps to acquire visa-free regime with the EU - Ed.) Aug. 17. We are waiting for an assessment mission today, according to my agreement with Juncker, which Ukraine has to report to on the current progress as well as fulfill the obligations within the schedule. These steps will concern the fight against corruption, judicial brunch etc.," the head of state summed up.
