Russia teeters on the edge of sanctions stiffening, Ukraine’s foreign ministry special envoy says

There is no reason to scale back sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation while it balances on the brink of strengthening of the restrictive measures.

Special Envoy of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said on air of Channel 5, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

"There is no cause not just to lift but even to scale back sanctions against Russia. The Russia is currently teetering on the brink of strengthening of sanctions against it. That means it is obviously playing with the level of escalation, which allows it doing whatever it wants without forcing to impose the next level of sanctions against it," Kuleba said.

According to him, there are no talks held to scale down or lift sanctions against Russia.
